stunning

we had a brief discussion about this in class fri. well not about here necessarly, but working ect, and i mentioned abu dhabi. i posted on FB, the hotel i was watching being built on "build it bigger", now natgeo has its own programs on several other structures being built in the UAE. i have posted the pics below. i would so go over there to work. hey, i dont mind being covered, but i'm not wearing that burka. i'm clostrophobic. fuck, 2 billion dollars has been spent so far. i need a passport.

capitol gate. it leans farther, on purpose, than pisa. its the centerpiece in abu dhabi's new biz district.

the 2 billion dollar hotel complex. to see it overhead is stunning.

this is the other hotel i posted, that danny forrester did the show on. yes, thats an F-1 track. this entire hotel, and the leaning tower, were/are built simutanously. the both shells are freestanding.

al hamra in kuwait. the building is situated according to the sun. the cooler side is glass, and the warmer sid is covered in this wierd sand concrete concoction. where it curves, they made a mosiac on a mesh form. theres an open-air restaurant on top. oh and theres LED's in the glass. yep giant f-ing light show. is that whack or what?
