i had a lovely chat last night with a good friend about this. we consider ourselves fiscal conservatives and social liberals. she was saying how she appreciated my posts on sb1070, because while she is on the fence, so to speak, due to her own experiences, it was nice to hear someone say, just read the bill. and that its just not all about the mexicans. and i really appreciated that. we do try to keep our FB fun and lively and not political, and i am sooooo glad that the ferver has depleated some. as we should all know by now, i am for it. i see the whole picture. i've worked with, and have several friends that are immigrants. they are following the rules and striving hard for american citizenship. and those that have gotten it are so excited! and i feel bad for them. because all their hard work means nothing? this govt has by far been to lax in enforcing any sort of laws regarding this. you may not like it, and thats ok. but its a valid law, and needs to be enforced. i dont like AZ's DUI law, i think it takes away the prosecutors right to deal, but it is what it is. dont get caught.
i just really want to say that i was glad to hear someone thank me for saying to educate yourself before forming an opinion and spreading it like wildfire over the nets. i love her, now if only i could look as good when i dress up as she does. lol.
