what a great day! jeff's only day off this week so we just watched football and i made what is referred to as "rotel" cheese dip.
1 bar of velveeta (or the like)
1 14oz can store brand diced tomatoes w/green chilies (the ro*tel brand can is too small if you must use two of those then and omit the extra green chilies) DRAINED
2 small cans diced green chilies DRAINED
1 tub jimmy dean hot sausage (or any brand)
cube cheese and melt in a crock*pot or double boiler. when about half melted i add the strained tomatoes and green chilies. brown the sausage and add to the cheese and mix together. serve with chips.
i swear sometimes i should record what jeff says during the course of sports games, but alas, its probably best i dont. i also made bread pudding for dessert, but then jeff and frammy said they weren't fans. heres the recipie anyways:
2c milk (or half/half, heavy cream, combo)
6 eggs
1T pie spice
1C brown sugar
mix all together and pour over 1/2 loaf white bread cubed (the bread wasnt floating in the bowl when i poured the milk mixture over. i diced the bread in large chunks.) its here if you like, where goodies can be added like dried fruits and the ilk. i left mine plain. had i know i would've loaded it up with dried fruits.
let sit at least a couple hours so the bread can soak up the liquid.
preheat oven to 350*
i used a 9" springform pan wrapped on the outside with foil. any pan will do.
place your bread pudding in a waterbath and cover with foil
bake 30-45mins until all liquid is absorbed and pudding is firm.
dinner was linguini and clam sauce which jeff devoured. at least he left me a small bowl for lunch. :) today its more football that i have to watch alone since sam levitz deems it necessary that he work today. tomorrow i have another interview at UA's student union. it would be really nice to get in- been trying oh FOREVER.
and with that:
GO PACK GO!!

i also forgot to add that the new catchword for being out of it is "potato". like when you see you players go down after a hit and look all woozy. and yes since i'm now part of the group i can say that. POTATO!
