i think it would be fun and helpful to me if i posed each weeks journal question for class and had you all participate and answer. and i really mean this. we're all friends here. and what happens in blogosphere stays in blogosphere. so lets begin.
Describe the moral climate in which you were raised. Do your ethical choices today reflect your childhood morals or have they changed?
my response was that my parents taught me to be respectful of others, and that there will be consequences for ones actions and to accept that. i was also taught that whats "right" and "wrong" to me, may not necessarly be so to someone else and to try and inflict my beliefs on others with regards to day to day living is wrong. i dont judge others, thats not for me, not my place. and i have to say, any topic was open for discussion. i was taught respect and observation, so that when i have something to say, its thought out and meaningful to the discussion.
and yes the choices i make today are still based in those beliefs. discuss.

My Dad was a three patch biker, and a con man. My Mom- a drug addict hippie who to this day is still that way. Their morals were and are still very low. I am not that way. I try very hard to be the opposite of how my parents raised me, and the examples the gave me growing up. When I went to jail I saw women who made, and continued making the same choices I made that got me put in jail. And they had no regrets about it. I chose then to make a life decision. To change who I was becoming. To turn my life around and be a kinder, less angry woman. I think I have done a pretty good job of that. -Chelle
