no there wasnt any shenanigans, but there was a trip to the ER wed morning at 630 due to me having a kidney stone. yep. happy birthday to me. i will say this here, due to circumstance beyond our control, i didnt really have a birthday. jeff wanted to take me out, but had his tooth yanked the day before which ment he also couldnt get me a present. yes i wanted to cry. but i was-am- happy to be seeing assemblage 23 tonite so i felt better.
then i woke up feeling like someone shot me. no joke. left side. then the pain REALLY kicked in, bringing nausea and vomiting which then caused me to sweat like a whore in church. i was drenched. and you cant get comfortable because the minute you move the vomiting returns. frammy came in and concurred its prolly a stone- unless my appendex is on my left side- which started me crying even more cuz i thought i was gonna die- so mom took me to the ER, i got in right away (yay TMC!) and was given a morphine drip.
nurse: hows your pain? 11. definately 11.
ahhhhhhhhhhhh. now i can answer your questions. i'll drift off a little but now my back/tummy area doesnt hurt anymore (ok i dont care and thats the important part).
nurse: hows your pain? oh a 2. (pain came backe 15 mins later. got second drip. THAT really worked)
BEEEEEEEEEEEP oh whats going on? nurse: you need oxygen. it happens. me: can i still be sleepy? nurse: yes you can still be sleepy. ok. thank you.
peeing was tricky. i did it in-between drips. not much there but found out i have a mild UTI which can cause problems combined with a stone. sooooooo i got a cipro iv drip, cipro to take at home, 800mg advil, and percocet. along with pee strainer to catch my teeny tiny stone. which i may or may not ever see.
and i have to re-apply for "access". they send you out all this crap expecting you to understand it all, knowing you wont, just to make one jump thru hoops i'm sure. jackasses. i mean who expects to go to the ER twice in 6mos? the only other time i ever went in all my 39 years was for food poisoning a couple years ago.
side effect? i have to poop. i know i do. i been jamming cranberry juice and water down my gullet, to no avail really. i have gas. which is midly annoying. i guess i'll have some salad and hope the fiber/h20 content will help empty me. (in case you dont know, pain meds make one plugged up. and painful- stool softners are highly advised) also: NO BOOZE. not while on antibiotics. ever. so its sober lisa. i cant remember the last time i had b'day celebrations minus carbombs. i had/have no intentions of cracking my record of 11, and wasnt gonna really consume tonite anyways so i could enjoy the show, but still.
so, today, so far so good. took an ibuprofen last night before bed, and that helped. since i can feel my chest muscles now- it hurts to laugh- thanks pain for making me puke. dont have to work until monday. HamSandwich is gonna pick me up so i can see the soundcheck, the only decent thing to happen all week.(no i'm not taking the pee strainer) he was gonna take me out shooting, i declined. not a good idea, with remnents of morphine and percocet in the bloodstream.
i'm just excited jeff is letting me go to the concert. i cant dance, but i'll enjoy Tom just the same.
unrelated: i really need to go to the store. the "lifestyle" change has gone offtrack horribly this week and the house is barebones on protien. I'M HUNGRY DAMMIT.
